Why did you join Conferma?
I was previously a Developer at a small software house, where I worked on projects autonomously.
I was excited to join a larger team at a growing FinTech business with the opportunity to share ideas and gain experience by learning from other developers.
What do you love about your job?
I feel supported in my role and enjoy having regular 1:1 meetings with my team leader. This provides me with a greater understanding of my job and what I need to learn to achieve my goal of becoming a Senior Developer.
I love the culture at Conferma, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Their regular charity events are a fun way to get to know different colleagues in different departments and the Senior Leadership Team.
How does Conferma Pay develop your skills and have you learned any new skills?
I was immediately given the chance to learn Angular, which is a front-end development technology that I’ve wanted to learn for some time. I’ve really enjoyed being taught how to use Angular by my colleagues who have vast experience using it.
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently updating and improving the system UI in Conferma’s snap+ invoice reconciliation solution. I’ve enjoyed learning new web UI building techniques and how we could integrate AI automation to process invoice data.
I’ve also been tasked with working on adding and improving Japanese translations in snap, our reporting solution.
What do you hope to achieve at Conferma in the future?
I want to progress in my career as a Developer whilst helping Conferma grow. I always look to join companies with growth ambitions and where I can contribute towards their future growth.
What are your interests outside of work?
I’m a keen baker and have already brought in a few of my signature bakes into the office including salted caramel millionaires and chocolate eclairs, which have gone down very well. Baking is a test of my determination, much like coding it can often be a case of trial and error!
My boyfriend and I regularly enjoy going on walks in the Peak District. We recently travelled up to Scotland to climb Ben Nevis, I felt a real sense of achievement after climbing my first UK peak. We’re planning to travel to Wales to climb Snowdon next!
